Buying a Treadmill
The main difference between treadmills for commercial usage vs treadmills for home, is that a commercial treadmill has been built like a tank and is rated for daily usage.
Your average home treadmill may only see 1 hr of usage a day, when a commercial treadmill is being used sometimes over 12 hours a day, theoretically, they could run 24 hours a day!
Cheap Treadmills
They are cheap for a reason. You generally want to avoid super cheap treadmills. You really want to buy a treadmill for home that will last a long time, otherwise if you get 4 weeks into your fitness regime and the machine breaks, you’ll probably just give up! It’s important to get the machine that is right for your needs.
Look for a good warranty
If the treadmill is rubbish, the warranty will be rubbish. Check the warranty on all treadmills and you’d do well to go with the machine with a +5 year warranty. Good rule of thunb and you win on all counts.
